Anémone is in a mountain setting high above the Rhône valley only a few miles from where the river flows into the east end of Lake Geneva near Montreux. The building is about a mile uphill from the village of Barboleuse, which is on the Bex-Villars-Bretaye railway. Bex is close to the N9 motorway and on the main railway line between Geneva and Milan.
